The Central Indiana Chapter is proud to announce that Indianapolis has been selected to host the Region 2 Fall Leadership Conference September 28 - September 30, 2006. This is truly an honor for our chapter. With our phenomenal growth and member participation over the last few years, the Central Indiana Chapter now has the visibility of Region 2 and the capacity to host an event of this magnitude. This will showcase the Central Indiana Chapter and Indianapolis as a terrific location to host a North American PMI event.

Who attends the Region 2 Leadership Conference? PMI Headquarters, Chapter leaders, and key volunteers from the 21 PMI Region 2 Chapters covering 7 states and parts of Canada are expected to attend. We are estimating that 40 - 50 representatives will participate in the 3 day conference

What is discussed during the Region 2 Leadership Conference? The Regional Leadership meetings are a great way for individual chapter leaders to discuss and share best practices and information about what is working well and not working so well for their chapters. PMI Headquarters representatives will also attend the conference to share new and exciting information about what our international organization is planning and what we can do to keep our membership engaged, energized, and informed.

University Place Hotel and Conference Center has been selected as the location for the event. University Place is located on the campus of Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) in downtown Indianapolis and has just completed a $13 million dollar renovation. The conference facilities are exemplary with parking included and wireless internet connectivity throughout the hotel and conference center.

The conference will include meetings for standing Region 2 committees on Thursday, a welcome reception Thursday evening, breakout information sharing sessions on Friday, Friday evening entertainment, and speakers on Saturday. The Central Indiana Chapter will soon announce the Friday evening dinner and events.

The Central Indiana Chapter looks forward to hosting this event and showcasing our chapter, Indianapolis, and Central Indiana. For additional information, contact David Daily (Central Indiana Chapter Vice-President) at VP@PMICIC.ORG.
