What would you do if you had one year to complete the largest project of your life? Where would you begin? What questions would you ask? What resources would you rely on? What processes and procedures would you want to use to ensure that your project was successful?

Now ask: What if you treated the next year of your life as a project?

Hello, I'm Joseph Phillips, PMP, author and editor of 27 books on technology, careers, and project management, and professional speaker since 1993. I believe that the principles of project management can be applied to any project - from cleaning out the garage to building a massive skyscraper. And I'm going to prove it - with your help.

I'm inviting you to participate in an experiment - how far you want to go is up to you. For the next year I'll be treating my life as a project. I'll set requirements, plan, execute, monitor and control, and then prepare to close out this project next November 2 in a PMI-CIC event celebrating International Project Management Day.

In this exciting day-long seminar we'll examine the similarities between successful projects and successful lives. We'll examine how projects should operate and why they often go astray. And I'll share with you the results of this experiment and the lessons I've learned.

Will you join me?

Visit my website for details on our experiment at www.lifelongproject.com. You'll find my weekly project management blog, articles, resources, and more. I'm looking forward to hearing from you over the next year - and I'm eager for us both to complete our successful projects!
