The PMICIC annual business meeting will take place on the June 17 monthly event at The Mansion in Carmel. The business meeting features the election of officers and voting for any proposed changes to by-laws.
The chapter staggers the election of offices to avoid a complete turnover of experience and those positions for which members will cast their votes this month are as follows:
VP Professional Development - Andrew Bittermann (currently holds position).
VP Communications - Scott Munoz (currently holds position)
Vice President - (No candidate filed)
President - Dave Marko (currently holds VP position)
Below are abbreviated candidate biographies:
L. Scott Munoz, PMP, graduated from IUPUI with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology in June of 2000. He was hired by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) in May of 1996 as a general IT technician. In June of 2004, he began his formal Project Management career with DNR by leading the successful development and implementation of the state's online hunting and fishing license sales system. In March of 2008, he was promoted to lead all IT Project Management operations for DNR.
Mr. Munoz attained PMP certification in December 2006 and is an active member of the Project Management Institute's Central Indiana Chapter (PMICIC). He currently serves as the Vice President of Communications for the Chapter. He has also served as Director of Sponsorship and as an IT Committee volunteer.
Dave Marko, PMP, CSM, is an experienced information technology and project management professional. He is employed as a Project Manager in the Project Management Office of Clarian Health. Prior to that, he spent 5 years as a project management consultant in one of the nation's largest IT organizations.
Mr. Marko has nearly 25 years of progressive project management and leadership experience from a variety of technology and application development roles.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology from Purdue University. He obtained his PMP credential in September of 2005 and has been a member of the Central Indiana Chapter since October 2002. He is currently serving as the Vice President of the chapter.
Andrew Bittermann, PMP, currently serves as the Vice President of Professional Development and is very interested in continuing his role in this capacity Mr. Bittermann has been a part of the local PMI chapter for the last several years. He also currently serves on the Board of the Microsoft Project Users Group and looks to leverage relationships in that capacity to bring additional speakers to our chapter's queue.
