Title Project Manager, Re-Engineering
 
Location Carmel, IN
 
Job Summary The candidate will be assigned a set of projects related to the re-engineering of work processes within the Enterprise Operations group. Is responsible for the full life-cycle management of these key initiatives within a matrix organization and must excel at directing, prioritizing and planning work at both individual and team levels. They must have strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to adjust presentation style to suit the intended audience. In addition to project management expertise, this position must have skills in either a) business process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, process redesign, etc.) or b) insurance industry best practices in operations-related work processes (e.g., claims, service, transaction processing).
This requires performing analysis of core business processes; documentation of the current state utilizing appropriate technology tools; facilitating coordination of enterprise-wide resources to support creative problem-solving to develop or modify process and procedures. They are responsible for creating and providing input to the creation of accurate and appropriate project plans and for tracking the project implementation timelines driving to success.

Reporting Structure
The Project Manager, Re-engineering will report to the Sr. Project Manager, Re-engineering.



 
Responsibilities

•Create and execute project plans, risk management plans, and other project governance processes and procedures
•Direct gathering of customer and business requirements, map/define current business processes, re-design work processes, and implement needed changes
•Apply Conseco's project management methodologies and standards
•Communicate ideas, issues, and status to staff members, internal users, and executive management, both verbally and written, in a clear and concise manner
•Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of how systems and procedures interrelate to support Conseco business functions
•Demonstrate effective coaching and counseling skills necessary to develop project management, technical, and interpersonal skills of assigned project staff
•Participate in establishing positive development atmosphere through effective and positive team interaction

 

 


 
Qualifications Experience in life and health insurance lines preferred and must be able to partner with all areas of the company in order to achieve department and corporate objectives.
