Title Business Intelligence Consultant
 
Location Indianapolis, IN
 
Job Summary The Business Intelligence consultant will be responsible for design, development, and support of large scale BI/DW solutions using a variety of technologies. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding and breadth of experience with all types of database architectures (OLTP, ODS, OLAP). Primary responsibilities of this job will include: requirements gathering, dimensional modeling, data integration, build of ETL processes, and
development of analytical reporting.
 
Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
(Computer Science or Management Information Systems major preferred)


GPA: 3.0 or higher


Skills Required:
1. Solid experience with the following RDBMS platforms: SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, & MySQL.
2. Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft BI Stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
3. Working knowledge of “Kimball DW Lifecycle” approach & dimensional modeling techniques.
4. Experience in 2 (or more) of the following reporting platforms: SSRS, PerformancePoint, Proclarity, Cognos, Business Objects, Actuate, or Crystal Reports.
5. Prior experience building incremental ETL processes & familiarity with best practices.
6. Strong understanding of data profiling methods, data quality assessments, data cleansing techniques, &
query optimization.
