Job Summary KEY ELEMENTS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organize, structure, and manage a team of program managers while meeting the needs of the project and control project costs • Assure resource requirements, project timing, and project scope are clearly defined and managed as a result of establishing and using a work breakdown structure (WBS), project schedule, and technical specifications • Establish and manage the project budget • Lead efforts with the organization to ensure on-time delivery of quality information, material, workmanship, and product performance • Review and manage a project schedule and approve changes, ensuring all deliverables of the contract are being met to project specifications • Issue various periodic reports detailing financial and schedule status of project(s) • Serve as prime interface with Customer, Area Sales Manager, and consortiums to resolve issues of mutual concern • Effect a timely contract completion with customer satisfaction • Identify and manage project risks and issues to avoid paying late delivery penalties (LDs), large warranty repairs or significant back charges • International travel required

Qualifications

Required:
• BS in Engineering or equivalent training • Minimum 8-10 years of Project Management experience • Minimum 10 years experience in capital intensive, highly engineered, long life cycle product line • Experience in successfully managing people, projects and/or programs • High level of analytical ability to assess, identify, and facilitate appropriate alternative courses of action for definition and resolution where problems are highly unusual and/or complex • Working knowledge of inter-departmental or group relationships and program objectives • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills • Experience in successfully managing people, projects and/or programs • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills • Working knowledge of PC applications - Word, Excel, databases and engineering program applications • Ability to travel up to 50% required


Preferred:
• MBA or Masters in Engineering • PMP certified or in the process of obtaining PMP certification • Product Development experience
